Q.I have a three month old baby and I've gone back to work 3 weeks ago. I pump at work at least three times in a 9 hour work day, but my milk suppply hasn't increased so that I'm pumping enough for my baby while I'm at work. I try to pump every 2-3 hours and I've tried the organic mother's milk tea for a couple of days but didn't see a difference, maybe that wasn't long enough. What can I do and how long will it take before I see an increase? Thanks

Hi Alisa Well, it sounds like you are on the right track. One question would be what kind of pump do you have? Unfortunately, only hospital grade pumps are able to do a good job at keeping your supply up. I would recommend renting one from Becoming Mothers. If you have already done so, you are on the right track with the tea. I find that the tea isn't strong enough. Buy some straight Fenugreek (herb). It comes in a capsule form. Take 4 pills, 3 times per day. This sounds like a lot, but it really works. You should smell a bit like maple syrup and your milk will probably be a bit sweet too. Good luck. Dr. Winkelbauer
